Maggie's Beauty Tip:
September 2009
Dear Maggie, I am getting to a 'certain age' I don't want to look old but also not too much like mutton dressed as lamb! Any tips please? Gillian, Tsada
Dear Gillian, Here are some tips from the fabulous Twiggy:
HOW TO AGE BEAUTIFULLY the Twiggy Way
Don't panic about ageing. It's no good getting depressed about it, you need to embrace it. Exercise becomes more and more important as you get older. I do Pilates regularly because I love the stretching it gives me.
Be bold about where you shop. Go into Topshop or look at ranges in stores that you might have considered too young. Be adventurous.
If you feel frumpy you will look it. So cheer up! It's all in how you wear things, dressing appropriately. My daughter Carly and I might wear the same dress, I'll wear it as a tunic over trousers; she wears it as a dress with tights and boots.
The most important part of a beauty routine is moisturising. A good moisturiser is my Desert Island product.
Hope this helps!
Maggie
